Science Graduate Wins Schulich Leader Scholarship
June 2026 – Class of 2026 Honours Pure and Applied Science graduate Bill Xu has earned a $100,000 Schulich Leader Scholarship to study Computer Science at the University of Waterloo.

The Schulich Leader Scholarships recognize 100 outstanding students entering STEM programs at 20 leading universities across Canada each year.
Bill has built an impressive record as both a student researcher and entrepreneur. He has earned top honours at science and technology fairs, founded startups, secured funding for new ventures, and gained firsthand experience developing and deploying machine learning and generative AI technologies.
He has also been an active contributor to student life at Marianopolis, serving as Vice-President Finance of the Marianopolis Student Union and as an executive of the Marianopolis Programming Club.
