How to apply

The online application system for Winter 2026 admissions will be open from October 1, 2025 to November 3, 2025. Please refer to the step-by-step guide below for instructions on how to apply.

Applicants for the Winter 2026 semester will receive a response through Omnivox from the Admissions Office after the November 3, 2025 deadline. If you are admitted, we encourage you to confirm your acceptance as soon as possible to ensure your spot at the College. Instructions on how to confirm your acceptance will be available in Omnivox.

  • For international applicants (non-Canadian citizens and non-permanent residents): Due to recent legislative changes and extended study permit processing times, the College will not be accepting applications from international students for the Winter 2026 semester. Applicants are encouraged to apply for Fall 2026 to ensure sufficient time to obtain the required immigration documents.
  • International applicants admitted for Fall 2025 who were unable to secure the necessary immigration documents on time are asked to contact admissions@marianopolis.edu to indicate their interest in beginning their studies in Winter 2026.

Step 1: Choose your program

Research your program of interest to make an informed decision. Review our entrance requirements for a quick summary of the program prerequisites. Remember, you can choose a first-choice and a second-choice program. We recommend the following:

  • For your first-choice program, always choose one with a higher entrance requirement than your second-choice program.
  • Don’t apply to two profiles or concentrations within the same program that have the same entrance requirements.

Step 2: Apply online

Apply online via the Omnivox portal. Find out which documents to upload to complete your application. Please do not upload letters of recommendation, awards or certificates.

Once you have completed your application, pay the application fee and jot down your seven-digit student application number (253-XXXX). You will need it later, so don’t forget!

The application deadline for the 2026 Winter semester is November 3 and the application deadline for Fall 2026 is March 1. Late applications received after 11:59 p.m. on the deadline will be considered only after all on-time applications have been reviewed, and only if space is still available at the College.

Step 3: Explore financial assistance opportunities

Step 4: Check your admission status

Keep an eye on your email to see if we have communicated with you regarding missing documents or to give you more information. Check the status of your application via the Omnivox portal. If your file has been evaluated, you will see the decision. If it has not yet been evaluated, it will say “in progress.”

The College evaluates each application individually, carefully considering:

  • Overall average of both final Secondary IV results and Secondary V term 1 and term 2 results
  • Grades in each program-related and/or prerequisite course
  • Grades in each required English and/or French course

Admissions decisions for the Winter semester will be posted as of mid-November. Admission decisions for the Fall semester will be posted daily as of mid-March and into April. Acceptance is conditional until you graduate from high school and have successfully completed all entrance requirements and applicable program prerequisites.

Step 5: Submit your French proficiency test results

You must write a French language proficiency test if:

  • You are completing your high school studies outside of Quebec (including Francophone countries or programs) and do not have a Certificate of Eligibility (CoE)
  • You attend English high school in Quebec but do not have a Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) and are not taking the course Français langue d’enseignement.
  • You are applying to the Arts and Sciences program (even if you have a CoE) and are not taking the course Français langue d’enseignement.

Your French language proficiency test results should be submitted by December 19 for the Winter semester and May 1 for the Fall semester. See our entrance requirements for details on which tests are accepted.

Please note that Marianopolis College does not administer French language proficiency tests. These tests are conducted externally, and schedules and availability may vary. We recommend scheduling an appointment to take the test while completing your application.

You may be required to take remedial or reinforcement courses and/or to follow a reduced course load if it is determined that your English and/or French skills are deemed below the required levels.

Step 6: Confirm your spot

If you have been accepted, congratulations! Your acceptance letter will soon be available in Omnivox. This will include a deadline to confirm that you will be attending the College. To do this, set up your Omnivox account by clicking “First use?” (under the login button). Have your student application number and permanent code on hand. Under “Confirmation for new and returning students,” confirm your attendance and pay the confirmation fee. Don’t miss your deadline, as your spot may be given to another student.

Step 7: Get ready to join us!

After you confirm your spot, you will receive information and instructions by email about:

  • Attending your program welcome session
  • Taking your English placement test
  • Selecting your course preferences and registering for your courses
  • Submitting your educational services contract
  • Requesting academic accommodations if you have a diagnosed disability
  • Attending orientation activities before the first day of class
