Eric Lozowy named Director General of the College
The Chair of the Board of Governors, Anthony Marinelli ’97, is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Lozowy as Director General of Marianopolis College for a five-year term beginning July 1, 2026.

“After a comprehensive search process conducted by a selection committee of the Board of Governors, we are thrilled to welcome Eric Lozowy into the role of Director General of Marianopolis College. His leadership as Academic Dean and as Interim Director General, combined with his deep understanding of our community and commitment to our mission, made him the clear choice to guide the College through the evolving landscape of higher education,” says Mr. Marinelli. “Eric is highly respected throughout the College community. We are confident that he will bring strategic vision and a steadfast commitment to academic excellence as he leads Marianopolis into its next chapter.”
Mr. Lozowy holds an MA in Russian and Slavic Studies from McGill University and a PhD in Comparative Literature from l’Université de Montréal. He taught at McGill University and Vanier College, where he went on to hold a number of senior administrative roles before joining Marianopolis in 2017 as Academic Dean.
In addition to building a strong management team, Mr. Lozowy has played a central role in advancing the College’s current strategic plan. His contributions include four major program revisions, the expansion of student success services, and the implementation of the French Language Charter as it applies to anglophone colleges. Beyond Marianopolis, Mr. Lozowy has been an active contributor to the Association des collèges privés du Québec, serving as President of the Commission des Directions des études and as a member of the Conseil général.
Guided by a humanist vision and a commitment to servant leadership, Mr. Lozowy will lead the development of the College’s next strategic plan and work to rally the Marianopolis community around its priorities. “Marianopolis cherishes a rich history and a well-earned reputation for academic excellence,” he says. “My focus as Director General will be on ensuring that the College and every member of its community can continue to flourish in the years to come. Together, we will build on our strengths while preparing for the opportunities and challenges ahead.”
