MariMUN 2025 Brings Global Issues and Diplomatic Debate to Campus

February 28, 2025 – Senator Pierre J. Dalphond visited campus in February as the keynote speaker for the 38th edition of MariMUN, the College’s annual model United Nations conference, organized by Marianopolis students.

Senator Dalphond spoke about the crucial role of intergovernmental organizations in shaping universal rules and promoting international collaboration. His message of encouragement and hope was a great source of inspiration to all in attendance.

During the two-day conference, students explored a range of contemporary global challenges, from addressing unsustainable environmental practices and corruption to managing territorial disputes and financial crises.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for students to strengthen their teamwork and critical thinking while honing their debating and public speaking abilities.

Congratulations to MariMUN – Marianopolis Model United Nations executives for organizing another outstanding conference and thanks to faculty advisor Kareen Latour for her invaluable support.

A heartfelt thank you to Senator Dalphond for taking the time to share his reflections and inspiring message with our students.
