Recognizing Community Support and Student Achievement
September 30, 2025 – The College hosted its annual Celebration of Excellence to honour award recipients from our incoming and graduating classes and to recognize the contributions of donors to the Marianopolis Millennium Foundation. Their gifts help make Marianopolis financial support for students among the most generous in the college network.
Class of 2025 graduate Raphaëlla Etienne-Krief shared how receiving the O’Linda Cuffaro Bursary is enabling her to support her family and how it is shaping her academic journey as she pursues studies in pharmacology at McGill University this fall.
Catherine Vourakis ’95, Chair of the Marianopolis Millennium Foundation’s Board of Directors, spoke about the Foundation’s work and its crucial role in supporting student success. She thanked the many donors in attendance, notably Fiera Capital, represented by Lucas Pontillo ’93, Vice-Chair of the Marianopolis College Board of Governors.
The company’s support to the blossoming Marianopolis Investment Management Program will help expand its activities and participants. Mr. Pontillo noted how impressed he was after meeting students from the first cohort of the program and how it motivated him to encourage Fiera Capital to partner with the Foundation.
