Technology and facilities
The College’s Information Technology Services (ITS) department supports all students with their pedagogical technology needs. ITS is also responsible for:
Every classroom is equipped with a teaching podium which includes Crestron presentation technology, a computer, a projector and screen. Students are welcome to bring their own laptop and easily plug and play their content to their class.
The College has several computer labs used for teaching, where students are welcome to work when the spaces are not occupied by classes. The Mac Lab provides creative software for art courses and/or video projects, while the Music Tech Lab is equipped with specialized music software and equipment. All computer labs have standard Microsoft Office software as well as specialty language software.
Students are given an allotment of storage space which can be used to save their work and access it throughout the building and from home.
The wireless network allows students to connect their own devices and print throughout the building.
Printing and copying
Students can access printers, photocopiers and express stations across campus. New students are given a small amount of print/copy credits at the beginning of their first semester. Students can add credits online via Omnivox or using the various cash boxes.
ITS offers a service counter, known as TLT (Teaching and Learning Technology), where students can drop by with technology questions, check out both MacBooks and Windows laptops, borrow cameras for class projects, and so much more.
Display screens in various high-traffic areas show valuable and important information.
