Honouring the Class of 2020

Message from Director General Christian Corno

June 30, 2020

Because our students’ success is our greatest pride, graduation is an annual milestone that we are proud to mark this year despite the pandemic. For the time being, your achievements cannot be celebrated in person so we look forward to seeing you again at a future gathering when circumstances allow.

Class of 2020, not long ago, you entered our college as high school students, chosen from over 170 institutions across the province and abroad. Today, you leave us united as Marianopolis graduates and as accomplished young adults. I salute your perseverance during these unprecedented times!

Academic Dean Eric Lozowy echoed this sentiment when he recently informed all students that the College nominated our entire student body for a special AURA prize created by the Association des collèges privés du Québec to honor the resilience and maturity they showed in the face of challenges posed by COVID-19.

The College’s Mission says, “Marianopolis students will be prepared to pursue academic excellence in their studies, become self-directed lifelong learners, and make positive contributions as citizens of a complex and changing world.” These words exemplify what we at Marianopolis believe in and wish for each of you. We have no doubt that each of you will embody these values in your own way and that you will continue to make us proud.
