Preparation for English College Studies (PECS)
Preparation for English College Studies (PECS) is a course designed for students whose first language is not English. The purpose of this course is to improve English communication skills through grammar review,
vocabulary and idiom drills, oral presentations, reading comprehension
drills and writing exercises.
Any student completing Secondary III, IV or V in June 2012 may apply.
Priority in the Secondary V sections will be given to students who will attend Marianopolis College in the fall.
Enrollment is limited to 25 students per section.
This course does not give credit toward a Diploma of Collegial Studies nor does it replace ENG 002.
PLACE AND TIME
PECS is held at Marianopolis, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Classes begin Tuesday June 26 and end Thursday July 12. Monday July 2 is a holiday and the College will be closed.
REGISTRATIONRegistration is on a first-come, first-served basis. It closes at 4 p.m. on Monday, June 11. Payment must be received by then at the Business Office, Room A-269, (514) 931-8792, ext. 259. Payment
by cheque, certified cheque or money order is accepted only for mail-in or
in-person registration. Please make cheques payable to Marianopolis College. Payment by credit or debit card is accepted
only for online registration.

Full amount $375 (due at registration)
WITHDRAWAL
Notice of official withdrawal must be made in writing to the Business Office by Wednesday June 27. No refunds shall be issued after this dates. Marianopolis reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment.
