French Monitoring
Students enrolled in French courses 602-100, 602-LPW and 602-009 benefit from one-to-one sessions with French monitors. They receive an individualised program that best suits their needs and supplements class instruction.
Difficulties experienced by students who are enrolled in French Monitoring are numerous and vary greatly from one individual to another: comprehension of spoken and written French, pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, spelling, writing skills, etc. For these students, monitoring is an extremely important part of their French course. Each student must meet with a French monitor – a linguistics, pedagogy, or literature graduate student. The French monitor identifies the student’s difficulties, prepares and implements a program, and occasionally responds to specific requests from the student's French teacher.
To receive monitoring, current students should contact their French teachers.
