Parent Information Evening
Parents receive helpful info and a warm welcome
The transition from high school to college provides both exciting opportunities and a number of challenges. For Marianopolis students, college is the beginning of higher education, a time of exploration, of greater freedom but also of responsibilities and opportunities to exercise choices.
Marianopolis is committed to ensuring that these choices are supported by our curriculum and by the many academic services that it offers. It is also the belief of Marianopolis College faculty and staff that family support can play a tremendous role in helping young adults to make the most of their college years, and it is with this belief in mind that Marianopolis hosts its Parents Information Evening.
On September 8, parents had the opportunity to hear about the College’s network of services designed to support students in every aspect of their Marianopolis experience: academic advising, library services, learning resources, counseling and student life. They also learned how to stay informed about their child’s progress in school despite changing rules at the college level on communicating with parents, and last but not least, about opportunities for giving and volunteering. Tours of the campus showcased some of the College’s top-notch facilities, while break-out sessions will offer information about clubs and enriching activities, services for students with special needs, and more about programs, the R-Score and paths to university.
