Health and Wellness Day
On April 7, Marianopolis hosted its first-ever day-long educational exhibition on health and wellness, offering students, parents, alumni and the community the chance to learn countless new ways to lead a healthier lifestyle. Special guests and health experts filled room F-105 with interactive booths, hands-on demonstrations, fun activities and health challenges on a variety of topics, including:
- Examining the myths and realities of diet and nutrition
- Assessing your fitness level and learning how to set appropriate goals
- Understanding the importance of financial health
- Appreciating the importance of skincare
- Understanding sexuality and your body
- Recognizing sports injuries and learning how to manage them
- Appeciating the role of massage therapy and reflexology - including free on-site massages!
- Experiencing the physical and emotional benefits of yoga
- Managing stress and anxiety through dream analysis
- Achieving balance in your life by contributing to your community
- Appreciating the role of natural medicines and traditional approaches to wellness
