- Groundhog Day 2009 raised over $4,500 for the Alumni Association. On the evening of February 5, almost 200 graduates, faculty and friends of Marianopolis gathered on campus for the annual Groundhog Day pizza extravaganza and reunion. - Screenwriter and alumnus Dana Schoel ’93 returned to Marianopolis in November 2008 to discuss his film Adam’s Wall. Shot in Mile End, it tells the story of two young lovers, one Jewish, the other Lebanese and is Schoel's first feature film with a theatrical release. Read more...
- On October 23, 2008, alumna, teacher and author Monique Polak '79 launched her latest novel, What World is Left, based on her mother's Holocaust experiences in a concentration camp. The on-campus launch that was part of the College's Centennial celebrations included a reading by Polak in the auditorium, a special address by her mother, and a book signing and reception in the library. - During the Annual General Meeting of The Marianopolis Millennium Foundation on November 27, 2008, four new Directors were elected to join its volunteer board. Liliane Comeau '69 (retired faculty member and former parent), Jennifer Marsan '03 (Co-President of the Marianopolis Alumni Association), Véronique Monet '84 and Amin Noorani '85 are among the many volunteers dedicated to supporting the College and its students. - During September and October 2008, more than 1,400 alumni completed the online alumni survey, an impressive 9.4 percent participation rate. Graduates from both the university and co-ed college years made great suggestions, showing the strong commitment of the College’s alumni. Helen Latimer ’79 and Giovanna Sebastiani ’90 each won a $100 gift certificate from Future Shop in a random draw for prizes. The College congratulates them and thanks all who participated.

- The 2008 Toronto Reunion was held February 21 at the Delta-Chelsa Hotel. Special guest, Julian Falconer '78 inspired alumni with his insights into diversity and social responsibility.
- Our New Campus Inauguration took place September 8, 2007 . The College proudly welcomed its alumni, neighbours, family and friends to its new home for self-guided tours, refreshments and activities for children.
