R-score Distribution of Recent Marianopolis Graduates
In recent years, student performance in college has been measured not only by the traditional transcript of percentage grades, but also through a new measure called the R-score (CRC, or cote de rendement au collégial ). The R-score is used by Quebec universities as a selection tool for entrance into most university programs, while grade averages are used as an admission criterion by universities outside Quebec.
Most university programs in Quebec require an R-score ranging from 22 to 28. The chart below provides the R-score distribution for recent Marianopolis graduates. It shows a high proportion of very strong records that result in high admission rates to first-choice universities and programs.
At Marianopolis |
9% of graduates had R-scores of 34 or higher |
39% of graduates had R-scores of 30 or higher |
59% of graduates had R-scores of 28 or higher |
91% of graduates had R-scores of 24 or higher |
Marianopolis Graduates Meet University R-score Cut-offs
In recent years, the R-score (CRC, or cote de rendement au collégial ) has been used as an admission criterion by Quebec universities: each university sets a minimum R-score
requirement for entry into a specific program. A few examples are shown below for recent graduates. (The stated R-score requirements for listed universities are as current as possible, but are subject to change.)
